Appearance Grading

The visual appearance of wood is graded on the basis of the presence, size and distribution of the singularities of the wood on the various faces.
Natural alterations by fungi and insects are also taken into account.

Standards

The wood is graded according to European visual appearance grading standard NF EN 1611-1

	Choice 4 is not illustrated because it corresponds to all sawn timber that cannot be graded in the higher choices.
