Uses

Knots	Limited to the equivalent of 3 sound intergrown knots of a diameter of 30mm on the face and 5 knots of 40mm on the back. Tolerance of small black non-adhering knots on the back.
Splits	At the end, of a maximum length equal to the width of the piece and not exceeding 5% to 8% of the length of the piece.
Wanes	Not permitted on short pieces, tolerated on pieces over 3m in length, on a back edge, of a length less than 20% of the length of the piece and a width less than 20% of the width of the piece.
Checks	Tolerated on condition that they do not exceed twice the width of the piece (three times the width on the back).
Resin pockets	A few small resin pockets on the face, large resign pockets on the back.
