 SPL Group (Sciage Pin des Landes/Landes Pine Sawmills) comprises over twenty complementary sawmill facilities based in the heart of a forest of no less than 1 million hectares (2.47 million acres).
Output of the individual facilities varies from 10,000 to 150,000 cubic metres per year, with total production somewhere in the region of 1 million cubic metres.
All the firms are PEFC certified for their control systems guaranteeing the origin of their products and sustainable forest management in particular.
Maritime pine, the main species in the Landes de Gascogne Forest, comes from man-made certified forests.
